What does hypertension look like?

I had my thoughts but I could not have been more wrong. Hypertension does not have a body shape, color or age. Here’s a picture of me when I was 35 years old with two kids at the time. I had no idea that I was walking around with unstable blood pressure levels.

I felt fine and I looked fit. It was only caught during an annual exam when the nurse used an automatic blood pressure cuff. I didn’t change my lifestyle overnight. To be honest it was a journey that included a long stay in DENIAL and an equally long stay in CUTTING CORNERS but I am so thankful that I finally reached HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

I know what it feels like to have a busy life with kids, a spouse and work. I know the challenges of trying to figure out dinner let alone wanting it to be healthy and tasty for the entire family.
